#FCKP I: Supercup ’16

4 December 2016

As the winners of the 2nd league past season we qualified for the Supercup happening on 5th November joining the winner of league 1 FC Lambajuun e.V. and the League Cup winners SK Lazion. The mini tournament (everyone plays everyone) format was played in 2x15min. The first game right away agains SK Lazion was a coming and going in both box areas leading to various chances for both teams but no one could manage to score. Amir managed to hit the crossbar from distance but thats it. The second half was in that way different, that we played not so solid like in the first 15min. Our positioning was in some ways terrible and the build up play was barely existing. The first goal we conceded was a ball loss by Pablo in the forward movement leaving the opponent player in a One-on-One situation with Marian which resulted in a right bottom shot while Marian decided to go for the left hand corner. Tragically, as we were head on head with the opponent most of the time but the conceded goal broke us apart. The 0:2 followed few minutes later leaving an opponent player open on our left side and letting him score in the lower left goal keeper corner, probably a positioning mistake by Marian. The 0:3 2 min before the final whistle was blown I cannot even remember as I don’t want to remember the whole game…we had to do better in our 2nd match.

The second match started right away after a 5 min break. It started to rain in the mean time and the opponent of FC Lambajuun e.V. was fresh and ready to start but it was us who scored first for the 1:0 by Miguel and the assist by Steffen. We pressed a lot and took over the control most of the time. A foul hand ball (I think it was Pablo?) in our own box gave Lambajuun a penalty which was well done scored for the 1:1 half time result. The second half was crazy, we wanted the win and had chances over chances. Just Amir headed finally a corner from Steffen powerful into the net for the 2:1 lead. The 2:2 came out of no where when the left side of ours was left open again and the opponent player tried to pass a cross into the middle but one more time (like in the first game) Marian’s left corner of the goal was wide open (Marian guessing the cross goes to the middle) and they scored for the 2:2. We fought back one more time as Steffen took his heart and the ball in our half and slalom like eliminated the opponents midfield and struk with a nice distance shot into the lower left opponent goal for the 3:2 few minutes before the 30min were over. The last minutes took long, the final whistle must have been blown long ago but the game was still on when Lambajuun striked one more time in the last second after another cross from the left side who found their striker in the middle free and volley’ed the ball through Marian’s legs centered into the net – a furious game was over and ended 3:3. Lambajuun could win the other match against SK Lazion in the last minute by a goalie goal…epic.
