FZK Marzahner Wölfe Challenge Cup ’17

30 January 2017

Our long years lasting friendship with the guys of FZK Marzahner Wölfe 08 brought us for the second time to Marzahn to participate in the hosts challenge Cup 2017. With 7 total teams we had quiet a busy and entertaining afternoon. The team was lead by captain Nick, as usual for the indoor season…

Our first game was off against the 2nd team of the Marzahner Wölfe. We landed a good start, on a ball loss by the opponent Nick and Marian were off toward the opponents goal and the last crossing pass from Marian could Nick easily score for the 1-0 lead. Just few seconds later Ezequiel found Miguel infront of the goal who could bring the ball into the net with his fine technique. We won the game 2-0.

The second game against FC Klosterfrau was different. We made it hard on ourselves to go for the win and let the opponent score for their 1-0 win very easily. Of course our euphoria was gone but in the next games we recovered very well from it…

Next game in the line was against Kaufland I, which we beat by 3-0 with two goals of Stefan and a nice strike by Jesus, who managed in the meantime to get his football shoes which he forgot at home 🙂

The fourth game was against the lads of Mustang United. A clever team which knew how to keep us away from their goal till…yeah till Edoardo took out his left foot pike shot and hammered it into the top left corner (see picture). The second goal did one more time Stefan with an assist by Ezequiel.

Our 5th game we played against the first team of the hosts and beat them 3-1 with goals by Jesus, Miguel and…yes DEEN our goalie who shot a penalty.

In the last game we had to win or draw the game but we did not manage to stand the pressure and lost 0-2. With 12 points out of 18 possible we got 2nd place overall.

On 21st January 2017 we founded the club “FC Kickers Pufendorfer Berlin e.V.” and on 18th April 2017 we were officially entitled by the German law to carry the name.
